Hello! I'm really glad you are here. It shows you are looking to take a positive and brave step forward in your healing journey. I have been told by many they put off seeking help for their mental health because they aren’t sure what to expect. I like to remind all my clients they are always in control, and we will go at your speed during our sessions. In session with me, you will find that it’s more like having a conversation with a friend who will validate and normalize your experience(s), provide empowerment and guidance all while teaching coping skills designed to help you. It is important to me to provide a sense of safety and comfort to all my clients. Untreated mental health issues can create a wound that alters how we approach life. Just as you would seek physical therapy after a physical injury, it’s also necessary to seek psychotherapy to help heal old and/or new emotional wounds. About Me: I have worked in the mental health field for over seven years in a variety of settings. I gained most of my experience working at a hospital providing crisis behavioral health assessments to determine safety and appropriate level of care. I found my experience at the hospital helped fine tune my knowledge of the many mental health disorders and prepared me to provide the best care to my clients. I currently provide telehealth services to clients 15-99+ years old. I treat a variety of diagnoses but commonly see those who are struggling with Depression, Anxiety, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Grief and Trauma. I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy which helps those who have had traumatic experiences. Why Telehealth? Many of my clients prefer telehealth therapy due to the convenience as well as the ability to feel safer and more vulnerable within the comfort of their own homes. It also provides an extra layer of privacy as there is no waiting room you must walk through and possibly run into someone you might know. It also provides me with the ability to have a flexible schedule. I am able to offer therapy during times in which I wouldn't be able to accommodate if I only saw clients at a brick and mortar location.
