Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I have been told by many they put off seeking help for their mental health because they aren’t sure what to expect. Sometimes it is due to fear of being judged or labeled as “crazy”. Other times it is due to the stigma of seeking help. Whatever the reason, I’m glad you are here.
In session with me, you will find that it’s more like having a conversation with a close friend who normalizes your experiences and feelings, builds on your strengths, empowers and motivates you, provides gentle guidance all while also teaching coping skills designed to help you through your specific diagnosis and/or experience. It’s important to me to provide a sense of safety and comfort for all my clients.
Untreated mental health issues can create a wound that alters how we approach life in a healthy way. Just as you would seek physical therapy after a physical injury, it’s also necessary to seek psychotherapy to help heal old and/or new emotional wounds.
